The Mugdock Cyclo Cross race produced some superb racing from Team Clarion, tt was a very well organised event by The glasgow MTB club

The course was muddy, rooty and and technical and the large field made it tricky for riders to overtake on the mainly singletrack course.

But we saw some superb performances from our riders with the under 8s especially getting good placings. Andrew Oxley shows continued improvement in the sunder 10s and Sydney Curran gave a determined performance in her first race.

Cameron Mason attacked from the gun and was way ahead of his fellow competitors within a few laps, winning the overall race and the under 12s boys event. Sam Chisholm continued his strong riding by beating many children older than him and coming 3rd in the under 8s age group.

In the older age groups Jamie Mason and Michael Brocklebank raced on the testing Adult course, Jamie came 6th in his age group and Michael put in another worthy performance in his first year of racing
