Last Saturday two of our riders took part in a summer cyclo cross event at Calderbank Park, East Kilbride. Jamie Mason (14) and Me, Cameron Mason (11) were very excited about getting back on our cross bikes to do our first cyclo cross race of the year.
The one-minute course was on fast rolling grass with some tight corners. My race was before Jamie’s. There were four racers in the under 12 category. As soon as the race started I got in to the lead and kept that position throughout the race. I lapped everyone and third and fourth twice!
Jamie also had a great race starting off in fourth and climbed his way up to second. When asked is there anything better then a good cyclo cross race he said, “Of course there isn’t!
